Matched students heading to Midwestern states, primary care
Congratulations once again to the Indiana medical students who matched with residency programs this year on Match Day, March 18. About one-third of those new physicians from Indiana’s two medical schools are staying in Indiana for residency, and approximately one-third will pursue their residencies in other Midwestern states.

In addition, 41% of matched students from the IU School of Medicine and 62% from Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine will enter primary care residencies, according to information supplied by the schools, helping to fulfill a significant need for primary care physicians in Indiana and across the country.
