ISMA Online app delivers free opioid CME needed to fulfill mandate
In order to renew a Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) by the Oct. 31 deadline, Indiana physicians must have completed 2.0 hours of CME on opioid prescribing and abuse in the previous two years. ISMA members and nonmembers can work toward meeting this requirement at no charge through the 2023 Live Opioid CME Series. ISMA members may also work toward fulfilling the mandate at their convenience through archived recordings of these courses on the ISMA Online mobile app.

2023 Opioid CME Series
Upcoming webinars in this monthly series focus on opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment, inpatient medications for OUD, novel drugs of abuse, OUD treatment in the emergency department (ED), substance use treatment during pregnancy, opioid weaning and legacy patients, and buprenorphine induction in the ED. Each live webinar is accredited for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The ISMA Online mobile app
ISMA members have free access to the entire ISMA Online library as a benefit of membership; the app’s convenience makes it an unmatched resource for busy physicians. On-demand recordings may be accessed online or on a mobile device and automatically resume where the user left off on courses being completed for credit. In addition, certificates of completion and transcripts may be downloaded directly from the app.

Webinars from the 2023 Opioid CME Series now archived on the app include content such as “Update on INSPECT and Indiana Opioid Prescribing Laws,” “Addiction-Informed Pain Treatment,” Treating Opioid Use Disorder: A Review of FDA-Approved Medications and Buprenorphine Prescribing Requirements,” and “Women, Mental Health and Addiction.”

ISMA Online is available through app stores and online. Like each live webinar, each archived recording is accredited for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
