Physician Advocacy Week, ISMA Day at Statehouse coming up
Grab your white coat – we’re less than two weeks away from Physician Advocacy Week and ISMA Day at the Statehouse!

This session, the Indiana General Assembly is considering several bills that would impact Hoosier health care. As physicians and medical students, you play a key role in educating legislators about how these bills will affect your profession and your patients.

Please plan to join us March 15 for ISMA Day at the Statehouse, where ISMA will update us on current bills and assist you in speaking with your legislators about these and other critical health care issues.

ISMA Day at the Statehouse is part of Physician Advocacy Week (March 13-16), which establishes a coordinated time for members to call and email legislators about issues as the legislative session crosses the halfway mark. ISMA Day at the Statehouse, on Wednesday of that week, is your chance to meet with legislators face to face and make the case for sound health policy firsthand.

ISMA staff will provide fact sheets and other resources and can assist in setting up appointments with your legislator. You should also plan on building on the contacts you make with follow-up meetings back home in your district.

Please wear professional attire and bring your white coat. Any employer labels and logos must be covered; ISMA will provide name badges that serve this purpose.

The bigger the turnout, the more impact we will have. We look forward to seeing you there!
