The AMA has announced two new Current Procedural Terminology (CPT^®) codes to report vaccine-specific immunizations for the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), as well as administration codes unique to each vaccine.

All the new vaccine-specific CPT codes will be available for use and effective upon each new coronavirus vaccine receiving emergency use authorization or approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the AMA said in a news release.
