Patients eligible for Medicare can now enroll in 2024 health and drug plans at Medicare.gov. The Medicare open enrollment period started Oct. 15 and closes Dec. 7.

Medicare Plan Finder was updated with 2024 Medicare health and prescription drug plan information on Sept. 29 to allow people to begin previewing health and drug plans before the enrollment period opened. Those wanting to keep their current Medicare coverage do not need to re-enroll.  

Additionally, 1-800-MEDICARE is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide help in English, Spanish and more than 200 other languages.
