With an impressive lineup of speakers set to take the stage at a world-class venue, the 2024 Women in Medicine Annual Retreat will prove an unforgettable experience. 

On Feb. 24, ISMA will again offer the retreat at the acclaimed Bottleworks Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. This event is open to all female physicians and medical students in Indiana, and this year’s theme is “Contracts, Noncompetes, MedMal, Oh My: Medicolegal 101.”

ISMA is pleased to announce that Stacia Dearmin, MD; Wendy Ledesma, MD; Stacy Cook, JD; Amy Adolay, JD; and Mary Ruth Feldhake, JD will all give presentations during the retreat. The speakers will discuss dealing with trauma related to patient outcomes, medical malpractice lawsuits and much more during their discussions. The Bottleworks Hotel, recently named Yelp’s top place to stay nationally for 2023, is located in what was once part of the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world. The hotel has an onsite spa, The Woodhouse Day Spa, and is surrounded by the Bottleworks District for your enjoyment throughout the weekend.

Registration is $200 for physician members, $300 for nonmember physicians, and $100 for medical students and residents. The fee covers Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the CME workshop and a reception. On Friday, a small, informal group dinner will be held. Please book your hotel room separately. A block of rooms has been reserved for Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24. Please identify yourself as attending the Indiana State Medical Association’s weekend retreat to receive the special room rate of $239 per night (plus tax). The rooms will be released to the public after Jan. 24.
