Join ISMA's Government Relations team for an overview of the 2024 session, including the legislative priorities of the four legislative caucuses and ISMA.

With 2024 being a major election year, lawmakers are looking for a brief and productive session ahead of the May primary. Republicans and Democrats from each chamber plan to focus on reading proficiency and truancy for K-12 students, access to affordable childcare, infrastructure plans for I-65 and I-70, and “fine-tuning” health care cost legislation from the last several years. Democrats are also interested in working on marijuana regulation and citizen-led ballot initiatives.
