Dental Lifeline Network’s Donated Dental Services program has provided free care to low-income Indiana seniors, people with disabilities and medically fragile patients since 1991. Volunteer dentists and dental labs across the state have donated more than $21 million in treatment.
Dentists deliver the care in their own practices, while dental labs contribute dentures, partials and crowns at no cost to patients. Counties with no current waiting list include Allen, Bartholomew, DeKalb, Elkhart, Hamilton, Lake and St. Joseph.
“Physicians are often aware that their patients need significant dental treatment, but are not aware of resources for people who fall through the cracks,” said Gretchen Matsuda, Northern Indiana DDS coordinator.
