Webinar series educate physicians about vaping, e-cigarettes
Two online educational opportunities are designed to help physicians increase their knowledge of vaping and e-cigarette use in order to better serve young patients and their families.

Indiana Teen Vaping TeleECHO Clinic
This series of free discussions, sponsored by the Indiana State Department of Health, takes place Mondays through Nov. 2 from 8:30 to 9 p.m. ET. Its goal is to provide support and increase clinical competence in treating adolescents who use e-cigarettes and other vaping devices so that patients across the state can receive the treatment they need in their home communities.

Sessions have been approved for free continuing medical education (CME) credits. Using Zoom videoconferencing technology, Indiana Teen Vaping ECHO participants take part in a virtual learning network with specialists from behavioral health, adolescent medicine, social work, pharmacy, pulmonology, cardiothoracic surgery, tobacco cessation, education, law and public health. In each session, the panel and other participants provide mentorship and share their expertise via brief lectures and discussion of one or two de-identified patient cases submitted by participants.
