Holcomb to address convention; CME workshop now free to attend

Preparations continue for the 171st Annual ISMA Convention, to be held virtually Sunday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m EDT. We’re honored that Gov. Eric Holcomb is now planning to address the House of Delegates! Our pre-convention CME workshop on financial wellness is now free, thanks to the sponsorship of the ISMA Insurance Agency, and it’s not too late to join ISMA and Indiana’s physician legislators at the 2020 IMPAC Social.

Pre-convention Financial Wellness Workshop, CME credits, now free!
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the ISMA Insurance Agency, there is no charge to attend this year’s virtual pre-convention CME workshop, Financial Wellness Strategies for Physicians.

This year’s topic is more important than ever since the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that being financially comfortable is no guarantee of financial stability. The stock market and medical practices may have begun to rebound, but it’s not too soon to begin preparing for future downturns.

This event will not be recorded for on-demand viewing. Don’t miss this chance to learn from three Indiana experts with deep experience helping Indiana physicians to maximize their financial wellness.
  • Peter Dunn (Pete the Planner®), will address how to solve financial challenges physicians typically face, including thought patterns and habits that sabotage financial stability, predatory people and products, common mistakes with student loans and housing, lifestyle creep and more.
  • Tom Mayer, AIF®, a founding partner of Shepherd Financial Group, will focus on short-term and long-term financial planning and management for physicians, including creative ways to defer taxes and save enough to maintain your standard of living in retirement.
  • Stacy L. Cook, JD, a partner with Barnes & Thornburg, LLP, will present strategies to successfully negotiate employment contracts to meet your individual needs.
