New work requirements released by Healthy Indiana Plan
The Healthy Indiana Plan released their work requirements for certain adult members this week. The requirement goes into effect Jan. 1, 2027, but implementation of the program begins this month. These requirements must be met for Hoosiers to maintain coverage.

Those enrolled in the program between the ages of 19–64 and are not exempt, must complete 80 hours each month through work, part-time classes, job training or community service. Exemptions are available for pregnancy, caregivers, medically frail members and others. The Indiana Department of Family and Social Services have partnered with Indiana 211, WorkOne, Ivy Tech, managed care entities and local community partners to help provide assistance.

Officials are encouraging enrollers to create a FSSA Benefits Portal account today. It’s the fastest way to get updates, check if they are exempt, and prepare for work requirements.
