ISMA welcomes Brooke Sim as communications intern
Brooke Sim has joined ISMA as a part-time communications intern with the Membership and Marketing team.

Sim, an MBA candidate at Western Governors University, graduated from Indiana University with a degree in media, cinematography and video/film production. Projects she is working on at ISMA include video production for the 2021 annual convention, membership marketing strategy and content, newsletter articles and more.

“I was first introduced to ISMA through my dad, District 9 President Seung Sim, MD, during the COVID-19 pandemic,” Sim said. “He would relay information given through ISMA’s COVID-19 Updates, keeping our family informed during a very uncertain time.

“After learning more about the association’s foundations, I knew I wanted to get involved. As a film major, I bring a creativity that allows me to find new and innovative ways to further ISMA’s goals. It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that cares not only about getting members involved, but also informing them.”

Previously, Sim worked as a programming and scheduling intern for National Geographic Partners in Washington, D.C.; an intern for a company developing unscripted television shows in Los Angeles; assistant stage manager for the Prague Shakespeare Company in Prague, Czech Republic; and a legal assistant for an Indianapolis law firm. In addition to her work with ISMA, she is currently a part-time remote intern for Big Mouth Talent agency in Chicago.
