Journalist Jordan Morey joins ISMA as managing editor
Indianapolis journalist Jordan Morey has joined the ISMA staff as managing editor. Most recently Morey was managing editor of the Indiana Lawyer newspaper; he will replace Julie Dart when she retires from ISMA at the end of March.

As managing editor, Morey will be ISMA’s primary writer and editor for member publications. He will also provide his communications expertise on marketing messaging for member recruitment and retention campaigns as well as supporting convention efforts.

“We are excited to have Jordan join us at ISMA,” said Dave Albin, senior director, Membership and Marketing. “Our members often mention how they value the professional communications our team provides, so with Jordan, we will continue to deliver excellence in this core service to members.”

A native of New York state, Morey earned a B.A. in journalism and mass communications from St. Bonaventure University and a master’s in sports journalism from IUPUI. He was sports editor and a general assignment reporter for the Seymour Tribune and assistant managing editor of the Columbus Republic. Morey also teaches a graduate-level sports journalism course at IUPUI and works part time as a writer for the Indiana Pacers.

“I’m excited to join ISMA and hit the ground running,” Morey said. “I feel fortunate to join such a well-respected organization and look forward to collaborating with our members statewide. ISMA has provided first-rate services for well over a century, and I’m thrilled to serve a role in continuing that legacy.”
