ISMA, others continue opposition to VA scope expansion
The ISMA has joined the AMA and other state medical and national specialty societies in a second letter to the Veterans Administration (VA) concerning The Federal Supremacy Project, a proposal to develop national standards of practice for 48 VA-employed health care occupations, including physicians.

The VA previously responded to physicians' concerns, as reported here. Now, the physician groups have revised the original sign-on letter to focus on the need for earlier stakeholder engagement and a delayed implementation time frame.
