It’s that time of year again! It is time to renew the ISMA membership. Membership notices have been sent out.
Here are some facts about membership:
- For those enrolled in the Physician Assistance Program, a membership pays for itself. The monthly fee for members is $150. Non-members pay $300.
- Most CME dollars are “use it or lose it.” If physicians don’t use their allocated CME funds, they lose them. Physicians can use that money on their ISMA membership.
- ISMA’s CME offerings allow physicians to access high-quality continuing education at no cost, stretching those funds even further and supporting ongoing professional development without added expense.
- If it weren’t for ISMA’s leadership, Indiana’s health systems would be paying dramatically more in malpractice premiums. ISMA’s work to pass medical malpractice reform legislation in 1975 and its continued defense of the Medical Malpractice Act have kept Indiana’s rates 40% to 70% lower than neighboring states. These savings extend not only to physicians, but also to every hospital and health system that employs them. Simply put, ISMA’s advocacy has protected Indiana’s entire healthcare ecosystem from the soaring costs seen elsewhere.
Renewal is simple and takes a few minutes. Questions should be directed to
