The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has made adjustments resulting in changes to some performance feedback for clinicians included in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for the 2020 performance year (PY), including 2020 final scores and 2022 MIPS payment adjustments. CMS also announced that clinicians, groups, virtual groups and Alternative Payment Model (APM) entities may request MIPS performance category reweighting for PY 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic through Nov. 29 under its extreme and uncontrollable circumstances (EUC) policy.
