Dr. Gunderman joins Spirit and Place Festival
Richard Gunderman, MD, PhD, will be part of the Spirit and Place Festival with Indiana University. ISMA will be a collaborating partner for the event.

Dr. Gunderman’s program, “Remedying the Loneliness Epidemic through Connections” will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 6-7:30 pm at Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library in Zionsville.

The program addresses that many people feel lonely and what people can do to reconnect. Through insights from Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the writings of St. Augustine, the life of Vincent van Gogh, and today's public health research, IU Chancellor's Professor and ISMA president elect Dr. Gunderman invites others to explore the causes of loneliness and practical ways to foster deeper connections in our lives and communities. This program is in anticipation of Dr. Gunderman’s upcoming book, which also deals with the subject of loneliness.
