Indiana medical spa regulations have changed. On March 5, 2026, Governor Mike Braun signed Senate Bill 282 into law, which enforces a regulatory framework for medical spas. Under this framework, medical spas are required to register with the Indiana Medical Licensing Board.  Registration applications are now live on the Board’s website, and are due by Jan. 1, 2027. 

Key requirements include:

• mandatory state registration
• designation of a responsible practitioner
• 15-day adverse event reporting
• location restrictions on where services may be performed
• advertising compliance obligations
