13 complete Physician Leadership Program
Thirteen Indiana physicians recently completed ISMA’s Physician Leadership Program, presented in collaboration with the Executive Education faculty of the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI.

The group, who were in the program’s second cohort, were set to earn their certificates in achievement as physician leaders by March 27 through a blend of in-person and online learning. However, the coronavirus pandemic meant that all classes had to be conducted virtually, and they completed their remaining courses in either July or September.

“The last course in the series was about ‘Building Resilience to Lead Change,’” said ISMA Director of Education Janette Helm. “The members of this cohort were able to gain unique insights by completing the series during this truly unprecedented time.

“I feel certain their participation will provide even more skills to lead through the changes that are still ahead, as they continue to care for their patients, coworkers, and most importantly, their families. I was honored to be a part of the faculty for the series, and add my personal congratulations to the graduates!”
