American Psychiatric Association (APA): This collection of well-being resources, most applicable to physicians in family medicine and other specialties, as well as psychiatrists, is part of the APA’s Physician Well-being and Burnout Initiative.

Headspace Plus: The popular mindfulness and meditation app is offered free to physicians and others working in public health care settings during COVID-19 through the end of the year. You will need to know your personal NPI number to sign up.

Physician Support Line: This free telephone peer counseling service, co-founded by Ben Pu Cheng, MD, of Muncie, is staffed by more than 400 volunteer psychiatrists seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight EDT.
