ISMA COVID-19 Business Impact Report set for release
ISMA is preparing to release its COVID-19 Business Impact Report, which describes the economic strain for physician practices due to the public health emergency caused by the novel coronavirus. Executive Vice President Julie Reed, JD, will appear on "Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick" this weekend to discuss these important findings.

Based on a survey of members completed in partnership with the Indiana Medical Group Management Association (IMGMA), the report identifies the consequences of the pandemic for ISMA member practices, including a significant drop in patient visits, the potential impact on Indiana’s economy, and what that could mean for future access to care.

One finding highlighted in the report is that more than 80% of practices reported a decrease of more than 40% in patient volumes and associated revenues. Some respondents mentioned an 80% to 90% loss in revenue and the potential closing of their practices.

To provide an exclusive first look at the report this weekend, Julie Reed, JD, will appear on Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick to discuss the findings for viewers around the state. Find the station in your market that will air Inside Indiana Business and tune in before the report is released on the ISMA Newsroom and via Facebook and Twitter on Sunday.
