State still seeks viral swabs, PPE, other items
To expand testing and protect front-line workers as the COVID-19 emergency continues, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) is encouraging medical practices to donate any unopened swabs and potentially life-saving personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gowns, gloves, masks and eye protection.

Viral swabs
If you have any unused viral swabs (nasal, mid turbinate, or NP) that the FDA has recommended for COVID-19 diagnostic processing, please contact your local hospital. This fact sheet has more information about swabs used for COVID-19 testing. If you are able to order swabs through your regular supplier, please email the Indiana Economic Development Corp. (IEDC) before placing the order.

PPE
Practices with small quantities of PPE to donate should offer items to the nearest health department, hospital, nursing home, first responder such as an EMS agency, or other public safety agency. This will minimize travel and logistic issues.

If you have larger quantities of PPE to donate, email the Indiana Economic Development Corp. (IEDC). Please include the quantities of each item, along with their location, to help determine a drop-off point. Someone with the IEDC will respond to work out next steps for obtaining your donation.
