Purdue offers same-day COVID-19 testing to physicians
Purdue University has extended its resources to Indiana physicians to increase the state’s capacity for COVID-19 testing.

The Indiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (ADDL) at the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine is offering its expertise in detecting human pathogens to conduct COVID-19 tests. The effort is a collaboration of the ADDL, the Indiana State Department of Health and the Purdue Research Foundation.

According to Gena Hendrix, DVM, PhD, director of the ADDL, health care providers interested in sending samples for testing must first complete the Partnership Inquiry form.

ISMA has been advised that testing capacity is limited. The ADDL will work with providers to maintain testing capacity at a level that allows same-day results.
