Program description:

A new year means new codes, new rules, and new reimbursement considerations, and 2027 brings changes in medical practices that need to be understood before January 1.

In addition to the annual CPT® and ICD-10-CM updates, CMS has proposed significant changes to the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule for 2027 that could affect reimbursement, coding, documentation, and practice operations.

By the time of this December webinar, the final rule will be available, allowing us to move beyond the proposals and focus on what CMS finalized and what it means for your practice.

Objectives:

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify key CPT® additions, revisions, and deletions for 2027 and explain their potential impact on coding and billing practices.
  • Describe significant FY 2027 ICD-10-CM changes and determine how they may affect diagnosis coding and documentation.
  • Explain major changes to the 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Medicare payment and reimbursement policies.
  • Apply updated coding and documentation requirements to support accurate coding, appropriate reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Implement operational changes and workflow updates needed to prepare practices for January 1, 2027, effective date.
