Program description:

This session will cover topics related to adolescent substance use prevention, recognition, screening, and treatment options. It will also highlight local resources available to Indiana clinicians, as well as an IU Health initiative aimed at increasing screening and access to brief interventions for adolescent substance use.

Additional training on this topic is available through a two-part, online, asynchronous course offered by Indiana University School of Medicine Continuing Education.

  

Objectives:

At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:  

  • Identify 4-5 evidence supported modalities that improve outcomes for adolescents with substance use disorders.
  • Describe the array of levels of care needed for substance use disorder care and why they are in short supply.
  • Evaluate novel treatment infrastructure designed to meet the needs of adolescents with substance use disorders.
