Objectives:
At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Identify disease defining pathophysiologic changes of Opioid Use Disorder
- Describe therapeutic options available and barriers to treatment in pregnant patients with opioid use disorder
- Understand the challenges in caring for pregnant women with Opioid Use Disorder
- Recognize the growing rates of neonatal abstinence syndrome in our community
- Discuss the evidence-based practices for screening, monitoring and treating neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Review tips to create a positive, supportive environment for families and medical staff when dealing with the mother-baby dyad affected by Opioid Use Disorder
