Objectives

At the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify disease defining pathophysiologic changes of Opioid Use Disorder
  • Describe therapeutic options available and barriers to treatment in pregnant patients with opioid use disorder
  • Understand the challenges in caring for pregnant women with Opioid Use Disorder
  • Recognize the growing rates of neonatal abstinence syndrome in our community
  • Discuss the evidence-based practices for screening, monitoring and treating neonatal abstinence syndrome
  • Review tips to create a positive, supportive environment for families and medical staff when dealing with the mother-baby dyad affected by Opioid Use Disorder

Within 24 hours, you will receive a secondary email containing a URL link to access the video recording, downloadable PowerPoint slides, pertinent handouts and the program evaluation form.  Please note you must complete the program evaluation in order to finish the course and receive your CME Certificate, which will be sent via email within 2 weeks.  At present, ISMA is processing certificates in batches, based on completion date.
