Since we last reported on contributions to ISMA’s Physician Assistance Fund, total donations have risen to $42,040. Many thanks to new donors Richard Steele, MD; Community Health Network in Indianapolis; and Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for their generosity!

The Physician Assistance Fund supports ISMA’s Physician Assistance Program (PAP), which offers confidential help for any practicing physician in Indiana who is struggling with a mental or physical illness, substance abuse, disruptive behavior or boundary violations. Services include screening and referral; consultation for physician health-related concerns; case management designed to provide support and accountability to the physician; advocacy services to provide reports, at the physician's request, to outside sources such as credentialing committees; and education on physician health-related concerns.
