Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan: How do I get my PPP loan forgiven?
Accredited for 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
Thursday, July 16, 2020
11 a.m. – Noon EDT
Free for members and nonmembers
Registration required
Program description:
The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was created under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to loan money to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the program launched so quickly that it left many questions about the process and eligibility for loan forgiveness unanswered. After numerous updates from the Small Business Administration, many borrowers are realizing that their loans may not be as forgivable as they thought.
ISMA has partnered with Blue & Co., LLC, to answer common questions about the PPP and loan forgiveness in relation to physician practices. This webinar will cover the key points of the PPP, how the forgiveness clause works, what expenditures are allowed under the program, and planning considerations that will help maximize loan forgiveness. A live question-and-answer session will follow.
Objectives:
At the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Understand the main provisions of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
- Recognize the expenditures allowed under the PPP.
- Describe the PPP loan forgiveness equation, including the four categories of allowable incurred costs.
- Create a plan to maximize their forgiveness amount and minimize reductions in loan forgiveness calculations.
