Provider Relations Specialist Nancy Robinson reminded attendees that Managed Health Services will begin accepting NPI on claims submitted on May 23. On Aug 1, MHS will accept only the NPI information on claims. Claims submitted without the NPI after Aug. 1 will not be processed.
Robinson also announced that physicians will soon have the capability to obtain prior authorizations online, in addition to submitting claims online, via the MHS Web site.
