MDwise
Provider Relations Manager Sherry Miles advised that MDwise is placing specific information relating to each delivery system on its Web site for physicians to easily locate billing policies and processes.
Attendees pointed out the lack of payment surrounding CPT code 88302. Services considered “family planning” are sent to IU Medical Group (IUMG) for processing; however, this particular code is not on the approved list of services to be paid by IUMG. Some providers are having difficulty getting reimbursed for this code.
MDwise representatives indicated they are aware of this issue and will update the coalition as soon as possible about a resolution. MDwise is currently completing an internal process; directions for physicians will soon follow.
