Locum tenens
Unless Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) changes the locum tenens policy, the maximum timeline is 60 days. However, CMS indicated this requirement is under review>>

 

 

Mark Fritz, Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), advised that the transition of 225,000 members to new managed care organizations was complete. Although physicians experienced some problems finalizing their panels, Fritz reassured attendees that assignment systems were working.

Auto-assignment logic is turned on and operating business as usual. Fritz narrowed the remaining assignment issues down to a few categories. Categories>>
