At its 2007 annual meeting, the ISMA adopted a resolution to support the concept of a medical home for all patients of all ages. ISMA physician leaders recognize that one central location for the integration of all health care services offers the best hope in an often confusing and complex health care system. A medical home, where a patient can maintain an ongoing personal relationship with a primary caregiver, also allows for the coordination of specialty care, education services, in-home services, family support and more.
