Strategies to manage stress, anger, anxiety

The ISMA Physician Assistance Program (PAP) announces availability of a new eight-week program offering evidence-based techniques to help physicians reduce stress and increase management strategies.

Focus of the professionally facilitated psycho-educational group will be improving the quality of physicians’ working relationships.

Learning strategies, including cognitive-behavioral approaches and relaxation techniques, will help participants reduce negative emotional responses and increase personal awareness of stress triggers.

For referral information, call Candace Backer, coordinator of the ISMA PAP at (317) 261-2060 or (800) 257-4762. Or e-mail her at cbacker@ismanet.org.
