FSSA announces selection of insurers for Healthy Indiana Plan
Late yesterday, Mitch Roob, secretary of Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, announced that the state had awarded Anthem Insurance Co. a contract to cover uninsured Hoosiers in the Healthy Indiana Plan. The state is close to selecting a second vendor, either Golden Rule or MDwise, according to the announcement.
However, FSSA is still negotiating with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding the exact financing of this program. CMS has yet to give the final nod, approving Indiana’s plan that was passed by the General Assembly earlier this year.
