Physicians needed to conduct medical reviews for disability

The Disability Determination Bureau (DDB), part of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, performs medical adjudication for the Social Security Administration.

Due to an increased workload, the DDB is currently seeking licensed physicians in all specialties throughout the state to perform physical and mental examinations and tests. In 2010, the DDB will process over 100,000 claims.

Physician reimbursement is competitive and based on Medicare guidelines. The 2010 fee schedule will be available soon.

To learn more about joining the DDB’s consultant roster, call Mark Hudson, senior coordinator for Professional Relations, at (317) 396-2089 or (800) 622-4968, ext 2089, or e-mail him.
