Get free training to help patients who drink too much

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism of the National Institutes of Health has free online continuing medical education (CME) that offers strategies to help patients who drink too much.

“This video is an excellent addition to our clinical toolbox, and it will be a great help to those of us interested in intervening and helping our alcoholic patients,” said Fred Frick, M.D., medical consultant with the ISMA Physician Assistance Program.

The online education consists of four interactive 10-minute video cases and utilizes evidence-based clinical strategies to use with patients who may have different levels of severity and readiness to change.
