Do you know what to do if your identity is stolen? Steps need to be taken in addition to the obvious tasks of canceling, closing or dealing with compromised credit card or bank accounts.

The AMA offers a new resource, “Steps physicians should take if in danger of identity theft,” that has suggestions to protect your finances and avoid the possibility of someone impersonating you as a physician.

Find the four-page publication here or call the AMA Practice Management Center at (800) 621-8335.
