Watch for an e-mail from the Indiana Scheduled Prescription Electronic Collection and Tracking (INSPECT) program. Officials are notifying current registered physicians to reauthenticate their account in compliance with federal requirements from the National All Substance Prescription Electronic Reporting Act.
The e-mail asks you to sign and notarize an attached form and then mail it to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
E-mail messages about the process to reauthenticate are being sent in batches, and the process started Dec. 31 with physician last names that begin with A-D. Note the deadline or “lockout” dates allow a response window of only two to three weeks. To continue access to INSPECT, physicians must return paperwork by mail before the lockout date. The forms cannot be faxed or e-mailed.
