ISMA gives you tips on writing a resolution
Resolutions, proposed by you, are very important because they shape the ISMA’s policy and direct its legislative efforts. Now is the time to impact issues important to you and the practice of medicine by putting them into a resolution.

If you need  assistance, call the ISMA at (317) 261-2060 or (800) 257-4762. Also, find help on the ISMA website.

Don’t forget: Resolutions must be submitted to the ISMA by 4:30 p.m. EST Monday, July 18. Email them to Rhonda Bennett or fax them to (317) 261-2076.

Physician, layperson awards
The ISMA seeks to honor a physician or lay person for their contributions to the community. You are encouraged to nominate someone you know for one of these awards. The deadline is Tuesday, June 14.

Here is a brief description of the awards:

  • The Physician Community Service Award honors an Indiana physician who has made civic, cultural, social or economic contributions to the community.
  • The Dr. Kathleen Galbraith Legacy Leadership Award honors a legislator, physician or layperson who has a passion to increase awareness of domestic violence.
  • The Patient Health Advocate Award recognizes a nonphysician who has made great contributions to the health and well-being of Hoosier patients.

Find details and nomination forms on the ISMA convention page.
