The Indiana Medical Foundation has been awarded a grant totaling $150,000 to support a robust physician leadership program. The ISMA, through our own Indiana Medical Foundation, submitted the grant application in February to The Physicians Foundation, a nonprofit organization that seeks to advance the work of practicing physicians and facilitate the delivery of health care. The ISMA was awarded the maximum amount of funding to be paid over a two-year period.

Recently, the ISMA established a partnership with Butler Executive Education at Butler University in Indianapolis. Through this partnership, the ISMA has already delivered a few leadership educational activities for members. The Physicians Foundation described our proposed program as “innovative” and well-tailored to physicians’ needs.

Support from this new grant will help establish the ISMA as the pre-eminent organization for physician development in Indiana, launching us into an exciting and challenging time. Watch for further announcements as program development gets underway.
