Participants gathered last month at the West Baden Spring Hotel in French Lick for learning, skill building and networking. Hosted by the ISMA Women in Medicine Committee, the event offered an educational session on effective communication presented by Butler University faculty.

Topics included:

  • Crafting messages that will be understood
  • Approaching audiences to appeal to their interests
  • Developing strategies to enhance communication effectiveness
  • Reflecting on strengths as a communicator

“This conference was excellent!” said Shalin Arnett, DO, FACOG, ob/gyn from Vincennes. “It has brought new insight and building blocks that I can take back to my practice and organization to help our daily operations move more effectively and efficiently.”
