If you’re willing to volunteer your services, but don’t want any long-term commitments, here are a couple of opportunities for you.
High school athletics
Contribute to the success and safety of high school sports by volunteering at wrestling tournaments. Physicians are needed at the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) sectional, regional and semi-state wrestling tournaments in February from 7 to 10 a.m., mostly to do skin checks.
For more information and to volunteer for a location in your area, contact IHSAA’s Robert Faulkens at (317) 846-6601.
Your state, your organization
ISMA members are needed at the Statehouse in February to serve as Physician of the Day – most urgently on Feb. 10 and 27. You’ll care for minor ailments of state legislators and their staffs while gaining an insider's view of the legislative process.
