You may want to contact your vendor soon if your electronic health record (EHR) certification has not been upgraded to the 2014 Edition Certified EHR Technology.

According to Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA), 2011 Edition certifications for all EHRs will expire at the end of this year. The upgrade will require new functionality and time for quality testing of that upgraded product. PHA advises that you develop a project plan to ensure you have all the correct people working on this project.

Also, you will be required to provide the 2014 Edition ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology) Certified Product List certification number for your upgraded product. Find the list here.

PHA offers training for certification and meaningful use. Find sessions here.
