As a medical office, your corporation or limited liability company (LLC) must file reports with the Secretary of State’s office, and you typically receive a reminder about those filings.
But starting Jan. 1, reminders will be sent via email, not paper – a move expected to save the state up to $100,000 per year.
Therefore, you are encouraged to update your email address with the state office if you want to continue receiving reminders to file your business report. Note the reports are due in the month your business entity was formed. For profit corporations and LLCs must file biennial reports; nonprofit corporations must file annually.
