ISMA Reports in previous issues told you about the Medicaid pay hike that is coming for calendar years 2013 and 2014, as required by the Affordable Care Act. It’s still on its way and will be retroactive to Jan. 1 of this year. The increase will be for “qualified services paid on a fee-for-service basis” as well as for those providers reimbursed by managed care entities.

If you are in the specialty of family medicine, general internal medicine, pediatric medicine and their subspecialties, you can qualify. But the ISMA also reminds you that you must self-attest by completing the ACA Physician Self-Attestation Form on the Indiana Medicaid website.

For complete details about the pay increase and steps required, see IHCP bulletin BT201255 here.
