If you deliver services in a rural hospital or clinic, or a critical access hospital, you may find a new toolkit helpful in the quest to achieve stage 2 meaningful use of an electronic health record.

The toolkit will help you assess whether you are ready to join one of Indiana’s five health information exchanges (HIEs), an important step toward earning meaningful use incentive dollars under health care reform.

A helpful guide from the National Rural Health Resource Center offers basic information and things to consider when evaluating your options for HIE.

Find the toolkit here.
