The kudos came from KLAS, a research firm that represents the provider voice and acts as a catalyst for improving vendor performance.

The standouts for HIT solutions from athenahealth were:

• athenaClinicals®, a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) ranked #1 for physician practices with one to 10 physicians
• athenaCollector®, a cloud-based practice management product recognized in two market segments, one for physician practices with one to 10 members and another for 11 to 75 physician practices

Rankings were derived solely from customer feedback including product evaluations, confidential interviews and analyses of performance data from November 2011 to November 2012.
