The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) offers free online resources to help you with electronic health technology requirements.

An ONC website provides information about:

  • Navigating meaningful use rules, including those for stage 2
  • Adopting electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Meeting privacy, security and EHR requirements
  • Receiving local help and learning about financial incentives

For small practice settings, the site offers tools for meeting the security risk analysis requirement for meaningful use. An easy-to-use online game training tool can be used to educate you and your staff on Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy and security.
