Over the years, Merrillville plastic surgeon Nicholas Retson, M.D., has taken 35 medical mission trips to developing countries, including India and others in Central and South America. In February, he will join a team of nurses, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, volunteers and translators for a trip to Jinotega, Nicaragua. The team is part of the Healing, Health & Hope organization.
