The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released the 2013 proposed physician fee schedule rules, now available. They will be published in the Federal Register July 30; find them here on and after that date.

The comment period for the proposed rules ends 60 days after the date of public inspection.

The proposed rule does include a proposed increase in payment of approximately 7 percent for family physicians. It also proposes a 3 to 5 percent increase for other practitioners providing primary care services.
